The founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was commemorated with ceremonies held in Ardahan on the 87th anniversary of his passing into eternity.
Wreath Laying Ceremony
The commemoration program began with a wreath-laying ceremony held at the Atatürk Monument in front of the Governorship building.
At 09:05, the exact moment the Great Leader passed away, a moment of silence was observed accompanied by siren sounds.
This was followed by the reading of the Turkish National Anthem (İstiklal Marşı), and the flags were then lowered to half-mast.
