February 23rd: Ardahan’s Liberation Pride and World Ardahanis Day
ARDAHAN – The 105th anniversary of Ardahan's liberation from enemy occupation and "February 23rd World Ardahanis Day," declared in 2014 upon the proposal of journalist-author Mehmet Ali Arslan, were celebrated with great enthusiasm worldwide.
Ardahanis living across the globe came together through social media and various events on this meaningful day. As part of the celebrations coordinated by the Ardahan Governorship, a Mevlid-i Sharif was recited, and prayers were offered for our beloved martyrs. In ceremonies attended by Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli, the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the homeland were remembered with gratitude. May our martyrs rest in peace and their souls be blessed.
