Following high-level talks led by SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi in Damascus, a full consensus has been reached with the HTS administration regarding "military integration." According to the agreement expected to be officially signed today, SDF forces will be restructured into 3 divisions and 3 brigades within the Syrian army. While the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) will retain their unique identity as a special brigade, Counter-Terrorism and Border Guard units will also be incorporated into this new military structure. With U.S. and International Coalition officials acting as "guarantors," the parties will sign two separate documents covering a joint strategy against ISIS and a legal roadmap for integration.
