Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh has confirmed the death of Libya's Chief of General Staff, General Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad, in a plane crash near Ankara. The Falcon 50 private jet crashed near Kesikkavak Village in the Haymana district shortly after takeoff. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that contact was lost at 8:52 PM following an emergency landing notification. General Al-Haddad, who was visiting at the invitation of Turkish General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, had recently met with National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler (originally from Ardahan). Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that a formal judicial investigation into the incident has been launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
