 Dilan Yeşilgöz Becomes Dutch Defense Minister

Following an agreement to form a minority government in the Netherlands, the ministerial distribution among the D66, CDA, and VVD parties has been finalized.

Dilan Yeşilgöz, a Kurdish politician originally from Dersim, announced via social media that she will serve as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Born in Ankara in 1977, Yeşilgöz immigrated to the Netherlands at a young age and rose through the political ranks to lead the VVD party. The new government is expected to officially take office on February 23rd.
