Ardahan witnessed a significant event in religious education as the Nafiye Yıldız Residential Girls' Qur'an Memorization (Hafızlık) Course was officially opened with a ceremony. Constructed through the generous support of philanthropists and coordinated by the Provincial Mufti’s Office, the new center is located in the Karagöl neighborhood and aims to provide comprehensive Islamic education for young women.
Governor Çiçek Emphasizes Value of Religious Training
The opening ceremony was attended by Governor Hayrettin Çiçek, who began his address by offering condolences for the heroic soldiers martyred in recent plane crashes, expressing grief on behalf of the nation.
In his speech, Governor Çiçek highlighted the crucial importance of religious education and training activities for the society. He expressed his best wishes for the course, hoping it would be beneficial for the province, and extended his gratitude to everyone who contributed to its realization.
Dignified Ceremony Marks the Opening
The program commenced with a recitation of the Holy Qur'an, followed by prayers. Students of the course also presented various performances, adding to the ceremony's warmth.
Following the heartfelt prayers, Governor Çiçek joined the participants in cutting the ribbon, officially commissioning the Qur'an Course into service.
Recognition and Tour of the New Facility
During the event, Governor Çiçek presented a plaque to Fatih Yıldız, representing the philanthropic Yıldız family, who were instrumental in the construction of the facility.
After the official ceremony, the Governor toured the classrooms and received briefings from officials on the educational activities and programs to be implemented at the center.
The Nafiye Yıldız Residential Girls' Qur'an Memorization Course is anticipated to become a vital resource for young women in Ardahan, fostering religious scholarship and moral development in a dedicated learning environment.
